Easy win for Glenwood
On Saturday 13 June 2015 the Glenwood 1st XV took on their local rival Port Natal and won 72-14 at Glenwood.
Glenwood went into the first half with an early try showing up front their determination to win. Glenwood’s strong ball-carriers broke through the Port Natal defence on numerous occasions allowing the Glenwood team to spread the ball wide and play good running Rugby.
The second half showed more determination by the Port Natal team and an early exit did not hamper their spirits. The Port Natal team pushed forward and with a great kick Port natal managed to recover the ball well and place it over the line.
Towards the end of the game Glenwood’s defence had to work hard as Port Natal used their strong runners to push over for another try. Glenwood replied with the team working well to produce a series of tries and although Port Natal tried to keep the pressure on against a strong Glenwood attacking team they went down 72-14.
