EG Jansen Fixtures 2016
The season ends at the end of October after lots of Sevens rugby.
EG's fortunes and those of the Valke Schools Union are much intertwined. That means participation in trials and provincial matches at Under-18 and Under-16 levels.
There are also the as-yet unknown matches in competitions such as the Tuks Series and the Beeld Trophy where EG Jansen could well be involved in the knock-out rounds. Then there are the various Sevens tournaments from the end of August to the end of October.
Rugby at Dr EG Jansen is a serious matter.
In 2015 EG ended in 11th place on the FNB Top 20, which is a great achievement, given the strength of schools rugby in South Africa. There were 11 EG Jansen players in the Valke Craven Week side, five players in the Academy side and seven in the Grant Khomo side.
Rugby at Dr EG Jansen is strong.

In the holidays various interprovincial tournaments take place – Craven Week, Academy Week, Grant Khomo Week, Reitz Week, Valke Week.
In the third term there are various knock-out matches ending with the Beeld Trophy Final on 27 August. After this there are various Sevens tournaments, ending with tournaments for Under-12 and Under-13 teams at Dr EG Jansen on 29 October 2016
