FNB Top 20 - 13 June

Middelburg up

Many, many schools did not play because of Craven Week exercises and perhaps even because of exams.

The much-awaited match between Paul Roos and Outeniqua did not happen, because Outeniqua had almost all of their first team missing.

Grey Bloem, Waterkloof, Monnas and Grey PE did not play, nor did Florida.

Marlow was to have played Daniël Pienaar but the match was cancelled because Marlow had so many commitments to the Eastern Province Craven Week side.

There are two principles which we should apply.

a. We cannot reward a team by promoting them for not playing.
b. We should try to reward winners.

Those who won by big scores were Bishops, Paarl Gim, Queen's, Westville,, Maritzburg College and Framesby.

Those who beat teams that were in the FNB Top 20 were Affies, Westville, Maritzburg College, Kearsney and Strand.

The top clash of the weekend was between Affies and Pretoria Boys' High, near neighbours in Pretoria.
