FNB Top 20 - 24 July

Back to school we go

The holidays are over, Craven Week has come and gone, and many of South Africa's top rugby schools are at it again, hammer and tongs.

There have been some interesting results to make the wise men who do the rankings scratch their heads and think long and hard.

There were matches between teams on the FNB Top 20. Waterkloof beat Affies for the second time this year, Monument beat Florida for the second time, and Maritzburg College beat Kearsney.

There were surprises. SACS beat Paarl Boys' High for the first time in a decade, Daniël Pienaar beat Grey for the first time in more than a decade, and Muir beat Framesby.

We have tried to reward those who have done well. For this reason, determined Muir get a toehold on the FNB Top 20 ladder for the first time.

If anybody wishes to add to the results or make a case for his school's side, it can be done by writing to pauld@365digital.co.za.
