FNB Top 20 - 26 April 2011

There has been a massive shake-up this week following what has happened in the various Easter Tournaments and there could be more to come after the next weekend. The shake-up has occurred as the strong have come marching in, teams that were not there last week.

It is mainly the forceful arrival of Grey College and Affies that have shaken things up but then there is also the arrival of Paarl Gim and Paul Roos.

Those are the three new teams this week but there is also a shifting of positions amongst the teams that were the last week, in particular the further rise of Selborne.

Some teams which did not play may find they have slipped a bit – not a slight but an attempt to reward those who did play and as a consequence ran the risk of defeat.

We continue to have the problem of trying to balance victory and the calibre of the opposition. Do we place the winning side against easier opposition above the losing side against tough opposition?

That we have difficulty tells you how many really good sides there are.

After lots of thought and debate, we have arrived at our second FNB Top 20 of the year.
