FNB Top 20 - 26 May 2009
There are changes this week with important wins for Monument and Wynberg, which have been the main reason for some changes.
We have continued to reward schools that are playing and doing well.
The hardest part of the ranking has been at the bottom rather than the top. There is a large group of schools doing really well and it is so hard to sort them out.
Outeniqua, Glenwood, Gimmies, Selborne, Queen’s, Die Brandwag, Rustenburg, Framesby and Westville all had wins but none against teams on or near the Top 20. Weigh that up against Affies, Bishops and Grey PE who lost to teams who are there or thereabouts last week.

The Top 20 produces so much interest that it is clear that there are strong feelings about schools rugby. Here is a way to add to the interest in the school you support.
Matt Knight, who was one of the authors of the highly successful Derby Day, which came out last year, is currently writing a rugby book and seeking any anecdotes from old boys. If you have any interesting or humorous stories and memories from your school days, especially rugby stories, do please send them to him. As much detail should be included (names of teachers and players; dates; scores; setting, etc). Please send to mattbknight@gmail.com
