FNB Top 20 - 8 May 2012
There are changes again in this year’s rollercoaster season, some of them really hard to make.
The big change is at the top after Paul Roos, enjoying such a great season, lost to Tygerberg who have been having an erratic season. Paul Roos were in top position, Tygerberg not even in the group of 21 regarded as contenders for a place in the Top 20.
Sorting teams out in the middle of the table was difficult, partly because there were teams who did not play and as a result not putting pressure on teams who were candidates for slipping down the ladder. That made it hard to move up those clearly deserving of a higher place.
What we have tried to do is to reward teams playing well. This has meant that some teams which did not play have slipped a place or two.
It is true that the competition for places is stiff indeed – as Tygerberg have proved.
