Friends and Neighbours meet across the Railway Line

On Saturday, two similar schools in similar neighborhoods meet as they have done for years and years – Rondebosch Boys’ High and SACS of Newlands.

They are both boys’ schools, both situated in the leafy suburbs of the Cape Peninsula, both with beautiful campuses, both with keen, active staffs, both of a friendly disposition and both lovers of energetic, creative rugby.

Season So Far

Rondebosch have been having a better season than SACS, which may not count for much, come Saturday lunchtime on cool, autumn field in Rondebosch, a field now called the Tinkie Heyns Field, a legendary educationist who lived for many years at Rondebosch.

Rondebosch have won all eight of their matches, including victories over Boland Landbou, Grey POE and St Andrew’s of Grahamstown.

SAC have won five of their seven matches, losing to St Andrew’s and Bishops.
