Gill out to make it a double

Gill College will be gunning for back-to-back FNB Classic Clash victories when they host Cradock in Somerset-East this weekend.

After beating their rivals in Cradock last year, Gill will be hoping that they can produce their best in front of their home crowd on Friday, but it will not be easy in a match that is always hard-fought.

Although they won away last year, Gill lost to Cradock at home the year before, so they will be keen to put that right.

Gill have had a tough time of it in the third term, first losing their captain to injury and suffering defeats in both their matches since the holidays.

However, past results are not likely to count for much in a match that will define the season for both teams.

Cradock's hopes of winning back the bragging rights away from home rest on the shoulders of an inexperienced team featuring just two Matrics.

They will be hoping that the good understanding the 13 Grade 11s in the side have will be enough to see them through, although it will be hard work against a powerful Gill side.

Gill College: 15 Jacques Moolman, 14 Lorenzo van Rayner, 13 Darren Nel, 12 Wouter Viljoen, 11 Kurt Fillis, 10 Sihle Qumza, 9 Emile Plaatjies, 8 Christopher Marinus, 7 Evert Joubert, 6 Rayno Kruger, 5 Jan-Ernst Saayman, 4 Hennie Moolman, 3 Murray Buys, 2 Brett van Jaarsveld, 1 Van Zyl Botha.
