Gimmies go across to SACS
Both teams have played nine matches so far this season and have lost only one match each. SACS lost to Paul Roos, who Gim beat by one point, and Gim lost to Grey College, whom SACS do not play.
Paarl Gim are renowned for their simple approach to the game. Their forwards are dominant in the tight exchanges and love to maul, something they are hugely effective at. Their forwards carry hard and generally get gain-line dominance which allows their backs the time and space to execute clinically. In fullback Muller du Plessis they have a potent attacking weapon. With serious pace to burn he is lethal on the counterattack or when joining the line.
SACS are a team who like to hold onto ball and back themselves with ball in hand. They are fit and try to wear down defences. Captain and scrumhalf Lucky Dlepu makes good decisions when driving his team forward and wing Aaron Zeederberg is a lethal finisher.
It promises to be a very good match between two well coached teams. May the better team win!
