Glenwood lie in wait
Kearsney College leave Botha's Hill and go down to Durban to face redoubtable Glenwood .
It is a tough assignment for Kearsney who suffered a heavy defeat at home to Michaelhouse last weekend, their last home match this year and Saturday's match at the Varsity Fields will be their last match for the year.
Glenwood, for the second week in a row, has played its home matches on the Varsity fields while its own fields are being prepared for the Under-13 Craven Week next month.
This Season so Far
Glenwood have again been having a strong season. At present they are ranked 9th on the FNB Top 20, one of the very best school sides in South Africa. Kearsney are just off the Top 20, their position slipping a little after the Michaelhouse defeat.
Glenwood have played 15 matches winning 12. They have beaten Michaelhouse, Maritzburg College and Dr EG Jansen who are other sides on the Top 20 and Dale and Bishops who have been there. Their defeats have been at the hands of Waterkloof, Outeniqua and Monument, In their last two matches they have scored over 60 points – against Hilton and Northwood.
Kearsney have also played 15 matches, winning 10. Their best win was over Dale but otherwise they have lost to Top 20 schools – Grey PE, HTS Middelburg, Dr EG Jansen and Maritzburg College.
