Glenwood Race to Triumph

At the Global Stadium in Fukuoka, Glenwood faced local school Higashi Fukuoka High School in the Final and beat them 45-6 after leading 17-3 at half-time. The South Africans scored six tries to none.

This is the second time Glenwood have won the tournament. Their previous success was in 2008. It is the fifth time a South African side has won. Previous winners were Grey Bloem, Boland Landbou, Glenwood and, last year, Paul Roos.

This is the fourth time that Higashi have been in the Final. Previously they were in the 2004, 2007 and 2009 finals.

Rotorua, whom Glenwood beat 29-12 in the semifinal, gave Toin Gakuen High School of Kanagawa a hiding in winning third place. The New Zealanders won 75-12, 11 tries to two.
