Glenwood too good for Pinetown
A cold, windy day was host to the Glenwood v Pinetown first team match on Saturday. Glenwood beat Pinetown easily.
Carel Swart scored the first try in 14 seconds from the kick-off taking the ball out of the air and running through to score under the poles for the first try of the game.
Glenwood allowed the ball to do the work and made a lot of passes complemented by some really good angle running. This resulted in a good team effort and the tries were well deserved.
It was good to see the team express themselves on the field and enjoy the game.
Pinetown never lay down and some good footwork and evasive running got them through the defensive lines, a couple of times turning defence. Their flyhalf missed three chances for penalty goals.
However, the final score was 73-0 Glenwood.
