Glenwood travel to Monnas
This is a massive match – Hoërskool Monument against Glenwood High School in Krugersdorp on Saturday afternoon, a Premier Interschools match.
Monument are currently ranked second on the FNB Top 20, Glenwood eighth. These are two of South Africa's top teams who regularly play other top teams.
They are two schools who take their rugby very seriously.
'This year Monnas have played 17 matches, drawing two and losing two. One of their draws was 10-10 with Grey College, the other 23-all with Selborne. They lost by a point to HTS Middelburg and then lately by a point to Kempton Park whom they had earlier beaten 33-19.
Glenwood have played 16 matches losing two. They lost to Waterkloof 39-27 and to Outeniqua 20-15. They played two other Top 20 matches beating Maritzburg College and, most notably Dr EG Jansen 31-18.
In their last four matches, Glenwood won in 2010 and 2011, Monnas in 2012 and 2013.
It could just be a thrilling encounter and can be watched on Supersport, channel 210.
Besides the rugby there will also be cycling, crosscountry, squash, hockey, tennis, chess, debating and golf at the Krugersdorp Golf Club.
