Good win for Union High

Union High School of Graaff-Reinet had a narrow win over the much fancied Graeme College of Grahamstown, winning 13-10 after the half-time score was 10-10.

A feature of the match was the first time tackling of Union and the pressure which they applied on their opponents. The determination with which they approached the game was evident from the outset.

Both teams had opportunities to put points on the board, but the pressure seemed to get to them at crucial times with the difference being a penalty from Union's flyhalf, Jason Vers, deep in the second half.
