Happenings if Grahamstown are always big and when the two boys' schools, St Andrew's College and Graeme College, clash the whole city – for being the seat of a bishop, it is a city – knows about it and is interested.

They are both 19th century foundations – St Andrew's, called College, in 1855 and Graeme in 1873. St Andrew's is an Anglican foundation.
St Andrew's started playing rugby in 1878, Graeme a long time ago. Recently they have become greater rivals than previously and it is a day of rugby much looked forward to.
St Andrew's have had better results and won all five of their matches. Graeme four if their seven matches but then they include Marlow and Grey High of Port Elizabeth amongst their conquerors.

The only team they have in common is Clifton College of Durban. St Andrew's beat them 31-29 but Graeme lost 26-0.
