Graeme win at the death
Match Report
On a cold, wet Saturday, a penalty from Man of the Match Chris van der Meulen in the dying minutes gave Graeme an 8-6 victory over hosts Woodridge.
The Graeme 1st XV did not dominate, as in the other teams had done curtainraisers, and trailed 3-0 at half-time through a penalty from Chris Wale.
Graeme eighthman Roscoe Dredge scored shortly after the break, but Wale succeeded with another penalty to give Woodridge the lead once more.
Throughout the match both teams struggled with the torrential rain and driving gale, but the Graeme pack failed to make their mark in a forward-orientated game.
Graeme will need an improved performance if they wish to defeat Selborne in East London this Saturday.
