Graeme win well at home

Match Report

Graeme College recorded a resounding 25-0 victory over Alexander Road in an interschools rugby match in Grahamstown on Saturday.  The half time score was 8-0.

Graeme scored four unanswered tries in their first game back after a successful Easter tour to Johannesburg.

Played in wet and misty conditions, the Graeme forwards laid the platform for a solid performance; with loosehead prop Welmot Botes at the forefront.  With this dominance, Graeme managed to secure five tightheads.  

The Graeme backline used this surfeit of possession well that resulted in three of the tries being scored by the backs.  The try scorers were wings Chad Gill and Dylan Fetting, centre Bongi Vena, and lock Justin McDougal. 

Captain and flyhalf Lorenzo Southey converted one penalty and one conversion.
