Grey Too Strong
The kick-off looked as though Glenwood came out firing with a deep kick into Grey’s half forcing a penalty against Grey, giving Glenwood the lead of 3-0.
The lead was short lived as Grey immediately struck back with their fast paced-backline breaking through the Glenwood defence to bring Grey into the lead with 7-3.
Unfortunately Grey’s attack and strong counterattack at the rucks gave them the opportunity to use quick ball throughout the game, catching the Glenwood defence offguard and struggling with their defence, allowing Grey to increased the score with numerous tries.
Although Glenwood were down on the scoreboard they never gave up and in the last 10 minutes of the game Glenwood used their strong forward pack to drive the ball over the line with JJ van der Mescht adding the extra five5 points onto the scoreboard and Jerome Bossr increasing the score with a successful conversion.
It was Grey in the end who produced great running Rugby ending the game at 40-10.
Well done to all boys. It was a great day overall.
