Henry Collinett - Captain of Eldoraigne

Matches like FNB Classic Clashes are always emotional affairs and the key is to remain calm. Those are the views of Eldoraigne skipper Henry Collinett ahead of Saturday's meeting with Zwartkop.

Collinett is in his second year of First XV rugby for Eldoraigne and is excited for Saturday's match after a "great week at training".

"We're as ready as we could ever be," he says.

"We had a tough week at training and even though we had a few injury worries (this week), the guys are all ready to go."

Henry, a No.8, is expecting Zwartkop to come at his team – "as they have nothing to lose" – but he is hoping to keep his team calm.

"Games like this are always emotional affairs," he explains. "If you can keep a cool head it will go a long way towards securing victory."

Collinett has been happy with Eldoraigne's form this season. Having also battled injuries earlier in the year, good performances against Menlopark and Bishops have shown what they are capable of.

Henry's rugby hero is Bulls No.8 Pierre Spies, which is hardly a surprise as he rates himself as a "massive, massive Bulls fan".

At 80 kilograms he is not as heavy as his hero, but at 1,90 metres he offers a great line-out option and he also rates his speed as a big factor in his game.

Next year Henry would like to study and play rugby at the University of Pretoria (UP-Tuks), with the Varsity Young Guns competition a target as well as senior Varsity Cup rugby.
