HTS wins Sasolburg battle

 

It was HTS's first win in four years in this fixture, but it did not come easily in a game that will be remembered for its two different halves.

 

The atmosphere for the big game was something to behold as the crowd attendance was the highest it has been in five years.

 

The first half was a tightly contested one between the two teams. Hoërskool Sasolburg had most of the ball possession but failed to turn into points. 

 

It was HTS however that had the finishing touch and made good use of their opportunities to score three unanswered tries to lead 19-0 at the half-time break.

 

HTS Sasolburg continued their fine form in the second half and opened the scoring to stretch their lead to 26-0. 

 

It was then the turn of Hoërskool Sasolburg to fight and that they did, scoring three tries to bring the game within a seven point margin. The comeback was short-lived and HTS emerged the victors in the end.
