Kasselsvlei win Bellville Clash

Kasselsvlei played their great rivals Bellville South in an FNB Classic Clash at Rosina Paarwater Stadium in Bellville South on Saturday and came from behind to win 12-6 in a tense match.

The game was played before ± 10 000 people who supported their respective teams.

It was played at a blistering pace from kick-off up until the final whistle. Nothing was asked and nothing was given. The number of bodies all over the pitch bears testimony of the intensity of the match.

As much as Kasselsvlei was doing all the playing, Bellville South drew first blood with two penalties leading 6 – 0. Just before half time it was the Kassies Cravenweek centre Duncan Saal who broke through for the first try, converted by scrumhalf Dexter Pheiffer and the half time score thus, 7-6 in Kasselsvlei favour.

The second half started with the same intensity and early into the second half, Duncan Saal went through another gap and scored his second try, which Dexter Pheiffer did not convert!

The final score then 12-6 in favour of Kasselsvlei.
