MC Venter - Captain of Hoerskool Brits

Last year MC Venter lost to Hoerskool Rustenberg for the first time, and the Hoerskool Brits skipper is determined to put things right this weekend.

According to Venter, Brits have had a good season so far, winning eight of their 13 games and taking down big opposition like Noordheuwel and Swartkop.

But the FNB Classic Clash with Rustenberg this weekend will be a big test, especially as they need to bounce back after what happened last year.

Venter will play alongside Rustenberg captain and inside centre Bertho van Wyk at Craven Week in a few weeks time, but on Saturday he will be focused on getting the better of the kicking duel with his opposite number.

The Brits captain understands the challenge for his side on Friday night and he seems confident that he knows what his team need to do to win.

"It will be a very tough game, they have some goos back and some big forwards. My team is fast and fit so we will try and get some forward momentum before going wide," said Venter.

The Brits playmaker, who represented the Leopards at Under-13 and U16 level, is looking forward to Craven Week and is hoping to make an impression in order to secure a place at the Tuks Academy next year in order to take him further in the game.
