Meiring for GK top match
It's the last day of the 2014 Grant Khomo Under-16 tournament in Pretoria on 10 July 2014, and Ruhan Meiring of South Western Districts will referee the last match, traditionally the most prestigious appointment of the tournament.
The match will be between the Western Province and the Blue Bulls, both unbeaten teams and judged to have played the best rugby at the tournament.
Meiring, who grew up on a farm near Bultfontein in the Free State, is a Pukke graduate and a biokineticist in charge of a sport at Laerskool Hartenbos near Mossel Bay. He is young but already in his ninth year of refereeing after starting with the Griffons at the age of 16. This is his second Grant Khomo Week after his first in 2012.
