Monnas beaten in Sanix final

News from Japan

Hoërskool Monument , South Africa's representatives at the Sanix Youth Rugby Tournament in Japan, lost 34-20 in the final to Christchurch Boys' High, the 2005 winners. It is for boys who had not yet turned 17 after 31 March 2006.

More will follow when we get it.

There were 16 teams taking part, eight competitive teams from Japan and eight from abroad, one from each country.

The participating schools were:

Japan: Toin Gakuen High School (Kanagawa), Fushimi Technical High School (Kyoto), Osaka Institute Technology High School (Osaka), Tokai University Gyosei High School (Osaka), Oita Maizuru High School (Oita), Nagasaki Kita High School (Nagasaki), Saga Technical High School (Saga), Higashi Fukuoka High School (Fukuoka)

The tournament started in 2000.
