Mountain to climb in Wynberg
It has been a difficult season for SACS and it does not get any easier this weekend when they face their old rivals Wynberg in a Classic Clash.
Wynberg have lost just two games so far this year, going down by two points to both Paul Roos and Paarl Boys High who are both in the top half of the Top 20, whilst by comparison SACS have struggled with victories over DHS and Rondebosch the only real highlights thus far.
However, it is always a highly-charged occasion when these two sides meet, and it would be foolish for Wynberg to underestimate what will be a motivated SACS team with a point to prove.
Wynberg ruled last year as they made a clean sweep of the Southern Suburbs schools, and the crowd at Hawthornden will be expecting another big victory to celebrate as they look to take their winning streak against SACS to six games.
The SACS side has not been very settled this year, and despite most of the starting XV being in Matric they do lack a bit of experience which could prove vital in a match like this.
Wynberg will look to control the game up front with their big forward pack and play a structured game against SACS who will need to find a way to deal with the power of their opponents.
Neither side have any players in the WP Craven Week team, although some of the Wynberg boys can probably consider themselves a little unlucky given their consistency this year.
The home side will be without their captain and No.8 Keagan Timm who is sidelined with a broken nose, but otherwise they are at full strength so the key for them will be to keep the momentum going against a SACS team desperate to find some form.
