Noord-Kaap hot in the heat

It was hot in Kimberley on Saturday and Noord-Kaap proved too hot for Marlow of Cradock to handle, winning 44-8.

The report from Noord-Kaap starts: “Only a wired fence seperated Kimberley from the hell today.”

But the local side led 25-3 at the break and altogether ran in six tries – by right wing Dimitrio Tieties, flank Lehan Muller, who scored two tries, hooker Xander Jonck, replacement loosehead Joubert Steyn and flank Nico Graaff.

Dimitrio Tieties converted four tries and succeeded with two penalties.
