Noord Kaap overhaul Waterkloof
Despite being reduced to 14 men, Noord Kaap managed to come from behind and beat Waterkloof 34-30 in Kimberley.
The home side suffered a double blow early on in the match when they lost both of their flanks as Nico Graaff had to leave the field with an injury and then Luaan Dowie got his marching orders with a red card.
Although they were understandably struggling at the breakdowns, the NoordKaap seven-man pack showed enormous guts and grit and managed to provide enough quality first phase ball to their exciting backs to take a narrow 10-9 lead into half-time.
Waterkloof started to impose themselves on the game in the second half, producing some really good play of their own, and with 10 minutes left on the clock they lead by 13 points.
However, in the last ten minutes Noord Kaap shifted into another gear and scored 17 unanswered points to clinch an epic victory.
