Paarl Boys' High's wonderful tour ends
Here ends a winning streak of over 40 matches for Boys' High – defeated 38-36 by Christchurch Boys' High. It was the only defeat of the four teams touring New Zealand.
They took four teams to New Zealand, each of them playing at least four matches in 12 days. The 1st XV played five matches in that time, four in the seven days of April, till they came to their last venue and in a great match the two teams ran freely.

1st XV: Christchurch Boys' High won 38-36
2nd XV: Paarl Boys' High won 57-5
Under-16: Paarl Boys' High won 50-0
On their way into South Island, Boys' High played Nelson College, the school that started rugby in New Zealand. The 1st XV won 87-12.
They had a tough encounter two days before that against a Porirua invitation XV. Porirua is a harbour city not far north from Wellington. The invitational side was made up with boys for the four schools in the are and others who had left school last year. Boys' High led 12-0 at half-time and eventually won 17-5.
