Paarl Gim's fixtures

That is the weekend of Interschools. If the 1st XV wins that, it's a great season. It is the defining match of the season.

Paarl Gim is a coed school, its rugby usually the highest ranked coed in the country. Last year it ended fourth on the FNB Top 20, behind three boys' schools – Paarl Boys' High, Grey Bloem and Affies, all schools that Gimmies play again this year.

Paarl Gim play in the North-South fixtures and in the Wildeklawer Festival. Four 1st XV matches will be broadcast live on TV – against Affies, Paul Roos, Grey Bloem and Boys' High. All three are considerably bigger than Gim who have only about 550 boys in the senior school.

They are certainly a high-profile school in South African schools rugby.
