Parktown captain - Andrew Page
Parktown skipper Andrew Page knows that his young side have their work cut out for them if they are to repeat last-year's FNB Classic Clash victory over St Johns.
The versatile Page will be playing at No.8 this weekend, but has experience of playing in the backline having represented the Lions Under-16 Academy side as a centre.
The Parktown captain is no stranger to the leadership role, having been captain since Under-14 and he intends to lead by example on Saturday.
Page dreams of one day running out in the green and gold Springbok jersey and plans to get there by playing Varsity Cup rugby while he studies, but right now his focus is on the big derby with St Johns.
It has been a fairly inconsistent season for Parktown, but their 20-13 victory in the FNB Classic Clash against St Johns last year is sure to provide some vital inspiration for Page's side.
"It is a very young side but almost at full strength, we have had up and downs this season with some great wins but some disappointing losses.
"It is a huge honour and privilege to lead my team in the highest profile sport in any school. I try to lead by example; motivate team mates to keep their heads up and never give up," he said.
Page is expecting a massive onslaught from St Johns who will be looking for revenge after going down last year.
"They will be very physical up-front with some pace in the back line. They like using their forwards – overall it will be a physical encounter.
"I have told my side to stick to the structure, make first time tackles and put them under pressure," he explained.
