Paul Roos Are Sanix Champions
Paul Roos Gymnasium of Stellenbosch struck gold on Sunday when they won the final of Sanix World Rugby Youth tournament with a huge score.
In the final Paul Roos met St Peter’s College of Auckland and won 52-5, a massive victory in a final. It is a record winning score and margin of victory since the tournament started in 2000.
Paul Roos scored six tries to one. Their tries were scored by : flank André Smith 2, eighthman Jarod Cairns, props Robbie Rodgers and Joubert Grobbelaar and left wing Luke Burger. Flyhalf Kade Wolhuter converted four tries and kicked three penalty goals. Substitute Christiaan van Blommenstein kicked a conversion and a penalty goal.
This is the fourth time Paul Roos have taken part. They were runners up in 2000 and 2014 and winners in 2015 and this year.
