"This year in the Academy Week team will be my first time representing my province, it is a great honour," the captain said.

"As well as the call up, it is also a great honor to serve as your school's 1st team and I am so thankful for the privilege."

Since Pietersburg season begum, Geldenhuys has noted an upswing in the team's performance.

"We initially had a  rough start, but the season turned and Pietersburg's rugby has gradually picked up due to hard work by coaches and players," he added.

"It's an experienced group of players this weekend.

"We have lost players to injury, but we make the best with what we have!

"I believe in the group of men."

When asked what he is expecting in terms of a game plan from his FNB Classic Clash rivals, Ben Forster, Geldenhuys was direct with his answers.

"It is going to be a hard game and a lot of perseverance is needed from us," the captain said.

"Ben Vorster always play hard to the final whistle.

"It's always a big fight, always is, the hatchet is far from buried."

With this big clash coming up, Geldenhuys has been positive with his team mates.

"Do not doubt yourself and your team, if your heart is full of courage, there is no room for fear," he concluded.
