Praise from afar
Not quite a bottle thrown into the sea, this surprise e-mail arrived at Paarl Boys' High on Wednesday, the day their team arrived home from the Sanix Youth Rugby Invitational Tournament in Fukuoka. We give it as it was written.
"Dear Paarl Boy's High School
My name is Tomoaki Shuto.I live in Japan,Fukuoka. This time I watched Rugby Game in World Youth Rugby at Global Arena.Your team was very very close. I was very sorry.
"And I was moved. Because a team of member was very gentle and polite! When I talked to your captain No4(I didn’t know him captain),he was very polite attitude. I was so impressed. I also talked to other county’s boys. But your student was most polite. I think your educational is very good one and he is very good boy. He was very fair during games, too. I was sorry I couldn’t hear his name. Please tell him thanks. God bless South Africa.
"ps I cant speak English well.Thank you for your good game.
"Tomoaki Shuto ( I am sorry this is all Japanese) I am teaching students in my small cramming school.
