Saturday is going to be a massive in Malmesbury and Schoonspruit captain Cheslyn Korasie knows that he needs to set the tone for his team.
The boys from Malmesbury have been hard at work this week preparing for the match and the captain understands that it is going to take a huge effort from his side to get one over their rivals from Piketberg.
"We are incredibly excited for the game this weekend and we have trained really well this week," Korasie said on Thursday.
The No.8 has always loved his rugby and the way he plays shows this.
"I started playing rugby when I was very young and I have always loved the game and have a huge passion for the game," he added.
Some players battling with taking over the captaincy and it has a negative impact on their game but for Korasie it seems to have the opposite affect.
"Being captain of the 1st XV is a huge honour to lead the side and it has given me more confidence as a player.
"I feel that it is important to repay the people that have put faith in me that is why I really enjoy being the captain," Korasie mentioned.
Having won this fixture last year it seems that there might be slightly more pressure on the side from Malmesbury.
"It was a great win for us against Piketberg last season and it was a great win for the whole school but we will take this game like any other," he said.
