A Youth Olympic gold medalist and HTS Middelberg's captain Willandre Kotze will want to use all his experience to guide his side against Hoërskool Middelberg in their FNB Classic Clash.
The 'Rooi Bulle', as they are affectionately known, take on their massive across-town rivals on Saturday and hopes that his teams form can continue.
"We have had a great season so far this year and want to carry on doing what we have been doing.
"There is a great team spirit in the side and everyone does their part in the side that is why we have been doing well," Kotze added.
It has been a successful season so far because of the two tournaments that they have won so far this year.
"We have won 10 of our last 11 games and have managed to win the Hansie Week tournament as well as the Tuks Super 16," he mentioned.
Kotze did add that winning the Tuks Super 16 has been the highlight of the season so far but would love to win this weekend to add to the many highlights already.
Kotze was a member of the South Africa Under-18 Sevens side that claimed the gold in the Youth Olympics earlier this season.
"I was privileged enough to be part of the Youth Olympics side that won gold this year," he said.
When asked the question about which version of the game he preferred he said: "I just want to play rugby, whether it be 15's of Sevens I want to play for my team."
Approaching a Classic Clash can be difficult for some teams but Kotze will prepare no differently to any other game.
"We do not rank our games. It is a big game, but all our games are big.
"The team just wants to remain relaxed because sometimes people get too emotional and it is unnecessary," Kotze added.
