Queens captain - Avela Jubase
In a season that has had its ups and downs Queens captain Avela Jubase is hoping the lessons learnt will mean a strong finish when they face off against Dale.
It is set to be a tight contest with the split over the last five years just slightly weighted in favour of Queens who have won three and lost two.
Jubase is an aspirational character with his ultimate goal being to represent to national team.
"I want to pursue my dream and one day to wear the green and gold jersey," he said.
He has represented Border in the 2013 academy week and this year was selected for the Craven week side – so he looks set to keep on improving.
"It was a great experience for me," Jubase said of his Craven week experience.
"It gave me a chance to test myself against the best in the country."
Jubase prides himself as being a calm character on the field and tries to implement that in his captaincy in general.
"As a captain I try to remain calm and composed," he added.
"When playing rugby I give of my very best, until the last second."
For the burly outside centre, the highlight of his career has been scoring a match winning try against one of the Cape power-houses.
"Something that has really stuck with me is scoring the winning try against Rondebosch Boys’ High last year.
"However in general, it is an honour to captain a team at Queen’s College.
"Its a good feeling being amongst the best ever at Queen’s," the captain concluded.
