Exams, a long weekend and Craven Week preparations are stopping lots of boys from playing rugby at the moment.
In KwaZulu Natal, the Glenwood result is a big surprise. They have nine players in the Craven Week side but five of them played. Those missing were hooker Kerron van Vuuren, prop Koos Tredoux, centre Akona Nela and injured fullback Corné Vermaak, who, it is hoped, will be ready when Craven Week starts in the second week of July.
The Kearsney, Michaelhouse and Westville results are interesting for their size. The same is true of the Pretoria Boys High result but then St John's are not enjoying the best of seasons.
Nico Malan of Humansdorp had a big win over Dirkie Uys of Moorreesburg in Humansdorp.
It is the fifth time in the last 11 years that St Andrew's have scored over 40 points on K-Day.
Sadly, for many schools this, at the middle of winter, is the end of their rugby seasons.
