Rondebosch start Saints with a Bang
Rondebosch were creative, skilled and alert to their chances. Two of their tries were long-range affairs. The first, his team's second try, came after a long swerving run by fullback, Dalvon Blood, from within his own half.
The second long-distance score was by Thoubaan Gabriels, who looked exhausted when he collapsed over the goal-line.
All the Rondebosch tries were converted by Ross Stone, and they led 35-7 till the Parktown tighthead, Paki Lawu, bashed his way over. Both Parktown tries were from close quarters.
The players of both sides gave an excellent example of sportsmanship, compliance with the laws and good spirit. They also showed good knowlkedge of the laws of the gamne, including the complications of tackle and maul.
The same came not be said of a loud voice from the side lines by somebody on the side of Parktown. He shouted instructions to/disapproval of the referee with Not rolling, Off his feet and Offside and repeating them loudly. That was certainly not an example of the good spirit of rugby football or simple manners.
