Rustenburg come to Pretoria

A long distance FNB Classic Clash sees Rustenburg travel to the boys from Wonderboom who are in great form after beating Montanna last weekend.

Wonderboom snatched a dramatic win over Montanna when their captain Jurie Bezuidenhoud kicked over a late penalty, this momentum will be key for the home side.

The Wonderboom boys also have selection consistency on their side with the same team being picked for the last four games – the only exception is specialist fetcher Reynhard Fourie who broke a finger.

The boys from Pretoria pack a punch up front but they know that is where Rustenburg will also be trying to test them, so expect a monumental battle in the set pieces between the front rows.

On top of Wonderboom's momentum from the last game with Montanna is further form going back through the season where they have a record nine out of 11 wins.

Wonderboom have only lost to HTS Witbank and HTS Middleburg, a team that currently sits in the FNB Schools Top 20.

These two teams have only played before twice with one victory going to each way, so you would be hard pressed to look for any indication in the history books.

Rustenburg's season has been an up and down one in the words of their captain, flank Brenden Esterhuizen, but he is excited to see how much his team has grown since the starts and hopes the FNB Classic Clash will be a stepping stone for the rest of their season.
