SA Schools end Series winless

They are the only one of the four teams not to win a match, unlike 2016 when they were the team that won all their matches.

England led 19-0 at half-time after tries by fullback Ollie Hassell-Collins, lock Josh Basham and No.8 Sam Moore.

SA Schools came back with tries by wing Muller du Plessis and flank Henco Martens, both Paarl Gim boys. A conversion and a penalty goal by Qamani Kota brought the score to 19-15 and SA Schools seemed back in contention.

But Nic Rigby and Tom Willis scored tries for England in quick succession. Du Plessis then raced through for his second try to make the score 31-22.

That was a false dawn for the South Africans as Caden Murley, Sam Spink and Nick David scored tries for England.
