SACS go Farming
SACS leave their genteel leafy suburb and head for Boland Landbou’s farm between Paarl and Wellington. It is a tough journey.
The four “country” schools – Paul Roos in Stellenbosch and the three Paarl schools – Boys’ High, Gim and Landbou – have in recent times dominated schools rugby in the Western Province and it is not often that a Peninsula school beats one of them.
There are results which are regarded as surprises, as when Wynberg beat Boland Landbou this year and SACS beat them last year, but in Newlands.
Both of these schools are enthusiastic about their rugby and have ideals for playing the game.
Season So Far
SACS have won five out if 11, Boland Landbou seven out of 14.
Landbou are ranked 13th on the Top 14.
