Schools Results - 1 June 2019
As usual there were surprise results and predictable results again this week.
The surprises included the victories of Stellenberg and Helpmekaar, who beat teams ranked above them on the Schools Top 20.
For Stellenberg it was a case of bouncing back after their heavy defeat at the hands of Boland Landbou while this week it was Boland Landbou’s turn to feel the cold slap of defeat.
There were interesting derbies – the oldest South African schools, SACS vs Wynberg, in Newlands, Glenwood vs DHS, Hilton vs College, the Krugersdorp derby between Monnas and Noordheuwel and the Anglican derby in Johannesburg where St John’s won for the third year in a row.
There were Craven Week preparations in the Free State, Griqualand West and South Western Districts.
