Schools Results - 15 June 2019
The K-Day derby in Grahamstown was a thriller – a match of 41 points with a one-point winner.
St Andrew’s went the short distance along to Kingswood and won. The match is always tense and exciting, but this year the occasion and the score made it. After all, it was part of Kingswood’s 125th birthday celebrations, and the final score was 21-20.
Up in Balgowan, there was the Midlands Derby, won for the second time this year by Hilton. It was the 202nd match between the 1st XVs of the two schools.
There was a massive Methodist result up in Randburg – 100 points in the match.
Westering High School in Port Elizabeth held its biennial Sports Festival with two rounds of rugby. Apart from the K-Day results, the Eastern Province results are from that festival.
There were three schools matches involving saints.
