Paul Roos, Affies big winners
Paul Roos, the top team on the FNB Top 20, won their FNB Classic Clash in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
In Fort Beaufort Adelaide Gim just got home against Winterberg, though they scored two tries to one in their hard FNB Classic Clash.
In Pretoria Affies wandered over to Waterkloof and won the Beeld Trophy. that was a clash between 2nd and 3rd on the FNB Top 20.
Ben Vorster and Meklensky shared the Medium Schools trophy and Bekker won the Beeld Trophy for Small Schools.
Diamantveld won the Griqualand West Big Schools final by a huge margin at ABSA Park in Kimberley, scoring six tries to one against their rivals. The Medium Schools final was drawn and Adamantia won the final for Small Schools.
In Northern Free State Afrikaans Hoërskool had an astonishingly big victory in the final. Welkom Gimnasium had been playing well up to then.
Down in the old rugby-loving Cape where it has been wet and cold, Bellville, Drostdy, Brackenfell, Robertson, Calvinia and Labori won Interschool matches. And in PE Pearson and Otto du Plessis won neighbourly encounters.
On the Border Queen's in their match with ancient rivals Dale.
In sopping wet George, there was the annual Sports Day.
There are certainly big matches as the season bleeds to an end.
