Schools Results - 27 August 2016
There were two FNB Classic Clashes – won by SACS, who won when Wynberg was celebrating its 175th birthday, and Brackenfell who had a rare victory over Tygerberg.
Rondebosch won the Premier Interschools match and there were five matches in the Maties Schools Tournament at Danie Craven Stadium. Die Brandwag of Uitenhage, New Orleans, Vredendal, Groenberg and Overberg won
Up north there were trophy winners in Northvaal and Free State. The most interesting result was Grey College's one-point victory over Welkom Gim.
Farewells are always tinged with sadness, and this farewell to schools rugby is also a bit sad, and yet think of the thousands of boys who had so much excitement, enjoyment, social and physical development which the rugby season again gave them.
