The players ran and tackled with intensity for the whole 70 minutes and at the end one point separated the team ranked No.1 on the FNB Top 20 from the team ranked No.2. It was as close as that.
On the other hand in the FNB Classic Clash in Graaff-Reinet, Union High were bigger-than-usual winners over Volkskool.
There were not many matches because lots of schools turned Monday into a holiday because Tuesday is a public one and deprived buys of a game of rugby.
In King William's Town Selborne turned the tables on Dale and Queen's won the PE tussle.
Jeppe won their derby, Kingswood theirs, Glenwood theirs and Affies theirs.
