Schools Results - August 2
It's happened. It had to happen and when it did it did so quietly, almost sneakily. Grey College have lost. It was their first defeat this season and when they bent the knee it was to Grey – Grey High School in Port Elizabeth.
That Grey Bloem's defeat is big news is a truibute to their greatness.
The big match of the day remains the Interschools in the Paarl with over 20 000 people to see the one-point win.
In Pretoria Glenwood got over last weekend's defeat with a big win.
Bishops first played against Stellenbosch in 1878, making the match that happened this weekend on the Piley Rees Field an ancient one, though Stellenbosch (to Bishops at least) are now Paul Roos.
There were six Classic Clashes this weekend – in Kroonstad, Riversdale, Port Alfred, Welkom, Caledon and Bethlehem.
