Schools Top 20 - May 20
There is again a shake-up in the Top 20 this week. The same 20 are there but mostly in different places.
Only Grey Bloem, Glenwood and Grey PE are in the same places that they were last week.
That this has happened is good – a sign of great competition amongst the top schools and also a sign that the 20 are not the whole barrel with number 20 at the bottom. There are lots of schools playing great rugby in South Africa.
The ones that caused the shuffle are especially Garsfontein with their big win over Waterkloof, EG Jansen, Centurion who beat Menlopark – not by much but a victory and Paarl Gim who inflicted a first defeat on Tygerberg and that a big one.
There are three new sides in the group just below the 20 – Centurion, who beat Menlopark, Michaelhouse and Oakdale.
