Southern schools head for Finals
The competition has a new name. Die Burger Rugby Competition for High Schools is now the Maties Rugby Top Schools Competition under the aegis of the University of Stellenbosch. The competition is for schools in the Eastern Province, South Western Districts, Boland and Western Province.
It is till organised by Riaan Gerber of Die Burger.
There will be three finals played at Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on Saturday, 29 August 2015. The three are the final for the Big Schools, the Final for the Medium Schools and the Final for the Small schools.
Outeniqua will play in the big schools final against the winner of the match between HTS Drostdy and Paarl Boys' High to be played in Worcester this Saturday.
In the medium schools final Die Brandwag of Uitenhage, who beat Oudtshoorn 61-12 in the semifinal, and the winner of the match between Milnerton and Labori on Tuesday.
There are two semifinals in the small schools section. Malibu (Western Province) will play Albert Myburgh (Boland) and Humansdorp Senior Secondary (Eastern Province) will play York High (South Western Districts).
